Camp Fire USA First Texas Council is governed by a volunteer board of directors, all of whom are leaders within north Texas communities. Every January, the board of directors hosts an annual meeting to address business such as:
- the election of new members, officers and nominating committees
- changes to Camp Fire by-laws and articles of incorporation
- adopting resolutions which guide the board in its administration of the council
The annual meeting is also used to recognize distinguished members of the board, tenured staff and to spotlight community partners, volunteers and program participants.
