Summer Resident Camp

Situated on 223 acres of beautifully preserved Texas landscape, the miles of winding trails through wooded terrain lead campers to their activities and allow them to explore nature along the way. Hiking to Mt. Loma or through Fall Creek or an evening around a campfire singing songs with friends are more than activities, but moments to learn and to discover.

When campers cross over the El Tesoro Swinging Bridge they enter a different world, a world where they explore much more than nature. El Tesoro has a rich history and a range of activities and programs to reconnect campers with nature, but it is the friendships and personal growth that keep our campers coming back each year.

Laugh
Lasting friendships and memories are the cornerstone of any great camp experience. At El Tesoro, it is no exception. From the moment campers wake up, to the moment they go to bed, camp staff fill the day with positive messages with a generous heap of fun. From our theme of the week to cabin time and group activities, we consistently build on the positive, each and every day.

El Tesoro coordinates activities, cabin assignments and camper ratios based on camper ages. The format allows for increased independence at each level of the camp experience. Regardless of the camper’s age when they start their El Tesoro journey, be assured they will be challenged appropriately at each stage.
