Camptivity Day Camp

Send your child to camp, and have them home in time for dinner!

Camp is one of the most memorable experiences in life, and just because your child can’t get away for a week or two doesn’t mean they can’t experience camp. Camptivity is a day camp specifically designed to meet the child care needs of working parents. Every spring, summer and winter school breaks, the Lockheed Martin Recreation Area is transformed into a fun filled daily camp program.

All our activities at Camptivity are designed with fun in mind, along with consideration of each camper’s age. We feel age appropriate activities aid campers in gaining self-confidence within their age group. This out-of-school program is a great way for your child to have a daily camp adventure while surrounded with friends under the supervision of trained, qualified and caring adults.

Camptivity is for children entering grades K-8. We offer the flexibility to register from 1 to 11 weeks, depending on parents’ scheduling needs.

Lockheed Martin Recreation Area (LMRA) is conveniently located on Bryant Irvin Road in southwest Fort Worth.

Youth Adventure Program

6th- 8th Grade
Our Youth Adventure Program is an exciting way for your child to make their school break count! During the program, youth learn to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills while participating in community service projects. Along with serving others, there’s still some good old-fashioned camping fun to be had - such as archery, team sports, fishing, swimming, fitness, outdoor living skills and creative arts.

Community service projects involve research and planning by every participant, making it a more significant venture for each child. Some past community service projects have included: assisting in projects at LMRA, a car wash, mentoring younger campers and helping organize the Wild Wednesday Field Days for all campers. Some projects benefit community resources such as Tarrant Area Food Bank, Cook Children's Medical Center and the SPCA. Youth will learn about CPR, First Aid and babysitting, and have the opportunity to visit with professionals during career exploration days.
