Camp Fire clubs are where it all started. Even as Camp Fire has evolved over the years, clubs are still a fundamental part of our culture. Our clubs provide members with ongoing, positive social experiences and have proved time after time to generate lifelong friendships.
Clubs work effectively as members work together sharing pleasures and challenges while learning all important life skills such as leadership. In addition to the Camp Fire curriculum for every age level, clubs are active in community service activities, such as clothing/food drives, river clean-ups, providing treats for residents of senior homes, local and national contests, and the popular Salute to Veterans project, in which club members make cards and homemade gifts for patients at local veterans hospitals. Club members also have the opportunity to earn recognition items as they complete special projects.
We believe that the best youth development takes place in small group environments where youth have an opportunity to interact with adults and other youth in a safe, fun environment that allows them to develop personal skills and ongoing relationships with others in the group.
